Multidisciplinary treatment planning

A medical record audit of patients who were diagnosed in January-June 2017 and who received anti-cancer treatment at a NEMICS health service showed 84% had had MDM treatment planning.

The established target for all cancers is currently 80%.

Supportive care screening

Supportive care screening is when patients are invited to assess their own non-medical care needs. This result is from a medical record audit of treated patients. Although the result is close to the target, when analysed by tumour stream the results show people diagnosed with some cancer types are unlikely to experience screening.

The established target for all cancers is currently 50%

Communicating the treatment plan to the patient's GP

The patient's GP is an important part of the team. Our medical record audit showed 92% of patients had confirmation of diagnosis and initial treatment plan communicated to their GP in a timely manner.
