“Translating evidence, guidelines and policy into routine clinical care: recommendations for implementing supportive care screening”

NEMICS have  collaborated with Monash University Department of Rural and Indigenous Health (MUDRIH), Loddon Mallee Integrated Cancer Service (LMICS) and Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Service (GRICS) with a research project “Translating evidence, guidelines and policy into routine clinical care: recommendations for implementing supportive care screening”.

This research aims to provide clinicians and health services with practical ways to incorporate a screening process as part of routine clinical care.

Validating the NCCN Distress Thermometer and Problem List for an Australian cancer population

Melinda Williams (Barwon South West Regional ICS) and Dr Arlene Walker (Senior Lecturer/Assoc. Occupational Psych, Deakin University) are leading work to validate the Distress Thermometer and Problem List for the Australian context.
