Chemotherapy Services Review

Health services within NEMICS are participating in the DHS Chemotherapy Services Review. This review has been undertaken in three components:

  •  Mining and analysis of chemotherapy data
  • Assessment of existing infrastructure and workforce and
  • Qualitative assessment of models of care

The first two components have been completed and the third and final phase of this review is now underway. Both public and private hospitals, that provide a chemotherapy service within the NEMICS region, have contributed to this review through participation in one or more of the following strategies:

  •  Focus groups with staff and patients, and interviews with key stakeholders
  • Interviews with key stakeholders only, and
  • Completion of a questionnaire by hospitals not involved in the focus groups or interviews.

For further information please visit DHS cancer website where you can download the chemotherapy service planning fact sheet.

Should you wish to discuss this review further, please contact Melissa Shand at NEMICS on 9496 3831.
