To respond to the high prevalence of cancer in Victoria, the Victorian Government developed a framework for cancer service improvement which outlined a commitment to the restructure, coordination, integration and development of cancer services and research. One of the priorities for the
Integrated Cancer Services was to actively involve consumers and carers as partners in health care service planning and delivery.
This project aimed to develop a report documenting the care experiences (from diagnosis to treatment completion) of 40 consumers whose pathway involves both public and private cancer service providers within the NEMICS catchment.
This project has been completed.
