The Central Nervous System (CNS) Group aims to undertake service improvement initiatives based on the cancer service reforms’ priority outcome areas:

• Multidisciplinary Care
• Care Coordination
• Supportive Care, and
• Reducing unwanted variations in practice (Quality Monitoring and Support)

Initiatives are guided by two Patient Management Frameworks:

             Central Nervous System Tumour Stream: Cerebral Metastases 
                Central Nervous System Tumour Stream: Malignant Glioma

Current group membership includes expert clinicians from neurosurgical, oncology, allied health and nursing backgrounds, and the group is currently in the process of recruiting consumer representatives.
